Bristol Township School District
March 2024
Letter from the Superintendent
Dear Bristol Township School Community,
Spring is here and we are all looking forward to warmer days ahead. In March, students have been celebrating Women's History Month in their classrooms by learning about female leaders, past and present. Check out the insightful Women's History Month spotlight with Principal Dawn Martesi and how she shaped her career.
Our Senior Spotlight is Alicia Mohli, founder of Truman's school newspaper and involved in many of the high school's clubs. You will also find an update on the FDR property and highlights around all of our wonderful Bristol Township schools.
Please enjoy this month's newsletter. I wish you all a relaxing Spring Break.
Sincerely,
Michael Nitti

"Rock Your Socks" Celebrated District Wide
Bristol Township School District showed their support and unity in celebrating World Down Syndrome Day by participating in the 'Rock Your Socks' initiative on March 21.
Through the efforts of Grayson Norris, a 5th grade student at Keystone Elementary School, and the shared sentiment of acceptance and inclusion, the event spread a powerful message of kindness and respect for individuals with Down Syndrome.
The Groups to Beat: Indoor Color Guard & Drumline
Both the Drumline and Color Guard took top places in their recent competitions!
Drumline placed first, against some difficult competition, in TIA (Tournament of Bands/Tournament Indoor Association) at Barnegat H.S. Color Guard placed second at MAIN (Mid-Atlantic Indoor Network) at Hatboro-Horsham H.S.
Armstrong Team Heads to State Competition
Armstrong Middle School participated in the What's So Cool About Manufacturing video contest, highlighting their manufacturing partner Spike's Trophies from Philadelphia.
At the Philadelphia Region Awards, the team won the Overall - Most Outstanding Video award out of all Philadelphia, Bucks County, and Montgomery County teams. As a result, they will move on to the Best of PA competition in Harrisburg on May 15 to compete against schools from all over the state. Congratulations & good luck!
Brookwood Team Moves on to STEM Finals!
Congratulations to Team Pinecone Powers of Brookwood Elementary School! They were selected as a finalist in the Bucks County Intermediate Unit K’Nex STEM Design Challenge.
Fourth and fifth grade students across the county were tasked with creating a machine to support Pennsylvania farmers. Team members Riley Minch, Peyton Moser, Gianni Virgi, and Marco Virgi, fourth graders at Brookwood, designed a machine to prune trees, particularly Christmas trees.
Best of luck as they represent Bristol Township at the Bucks County Finals at the Fab Lab in April!
